Characters: Kelly- Kelly is the protagonist. She is very bold and confident, however she is smart but doesn't work as hard. Her father expects alot out of her and sometimes, she gets frustrated.
Mr. Weems- Mr. Weems is a homeless man that was in the Vietnam war. He suffers with his memories from it and is truly saddened by that experience.
Greg- Greg is Kelly's father and he is demanding, and very expecting of Kelly. He was also in the Vietnam war and Kelly and her mother suspects he suffered from it and therefore he doesn't confront his feelings as well as he should.
Setting: The setting is in Adelphia, a suburban community.
Big Events (in sequential order):
1) Kelly is given an assignment to write a paper on something.
2) She see's a homeless man at the library and wants to do her project on the homeless and interview him.
3) Kelly bothers Mr. Weems to let her interview him for her research project.
4) Kelly realizes more about the Vietnam war and how much it affected those in it.
5) Kelly also realizes the most important thing that her dad loves her, but just has trouble confronting his feelings at times.
